Fujitsu to Build Tier III Data Center in Western Canada

Fujitsu announced on 27 November that the company plans to build a new Tier III data center in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, according to a press release by Fujitsu. With an area of around 35,000 square feet, the new data center aims to provide co-location and cloud hosting services to facilitate big data analysis, IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service), and storage and recovery services for public and private sectors, especially in Western Canada. Payment will be charged on the basis of the required capacity. The construction is scheduled to begin by late December of 2012 or early January of 2013, and is slated for completion in the beginning or middle of 2014.
